predatory catfish!! :]

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Are there any smaller predatory catfish that could be kept in a 37? :naughty: I'm upgrading probably in a year or so when I move out and get a monster tank.

37g? bumblebee catfish probably..

phulltank, if you know where to get a p. coruscans let me know I'll take 3!
Necrocanis, I'm on the lookout for coruscans as well. I'll let you know if i come across any!

37gal cat?... bumblebee cat would be good.

How about asian cat species?... Heteropneustes fossilis, chaka chaka, bagarius bagarius. :)

oh well if your geting that big of a tank then how about geting a RTC or a TSN or like others said a tig or 3

sorry i almost forgot leiarius pictus and leiarius longibarbis both those cat are awesome

For life? Forget about juruense (size!) and tigrinum (2 foot width!) spooks easily if barbels touching glass and gets to 2' no problem. I'd say Learius pictus, Perrunichthys perruno or Sorubium lima. Don't spook too easy, not too agressive and big but not OTT.

I agree with phulltank, the other cats mentioned get too big. learius, perrunicthys, and sorubims, all way too big for a 37 gal. Cory cats, some of the small glass cat species, ect would be nice. Just need a bigger tank for those monsters dude lol. For all the cats listed above a 125 would be a bare minimum, and even then you will have to go bigger on some of those species. oh and as for barbells, learius, and perrunicthys both have barbells that are longer than their entire bodies so they need a huge tank! Trust me they do freak out!

The original question pertained to suitability for a 210 gallon 7'x2'x2' tank did it not?A 30" B.juruense in a 24" wide tank? No.

I say purruno all the way i have a 17" one that goes insane at feeding time and they have personality
