Preformed Basement Fish Pond!

Ive been looking for stock tanks etc but havent found what I want. However today I found a preformed 270 gallon pond for $270 it looks great and almost makes me want to downsize my system to use this. But my question is...will this tank be able to hold its shape withstand the pressure if it is not buried in the ground?
 
it seems like pretty tough stuff but im not sure. I could add some 2X4 bracing to the out ring like edge of the pond but the outward forces would have to be supported by the pond.
 
Ive got a smaller preform pond. I was thinking build a box to put it in, small layer of sand on the bottom. Put pond in box, and fill in the areas under the pond with sand to support it. Plywood over sand and under the lip of the pond. Is there an expanding foam that could support the pond in the box instead of sand?

ETA: A friend simply put the pond on the floor and used cinder blocks to support the shelf areas.
 
wow the foam idea is actually a really good one! It would insulate and support! alot of foam though
 
Most preform ponds will not hold their shape if not buried in the ground. One like the one you showed in the link will break if you fill it above ground. A stock tank is a far better option.

dang...im sure with the foam it would be fine but thats one more thing to mess with.
