Pregnant Pakistani Loach

So from the description I have given my LFS, I most likely have a pregnant Pakistani Loach in my community tank.
Has anyone had success breeding Paki Loaches? Should I find another tank to move them to now? Is there a way I can save the eggs and raise the fry?

Has anyone got any suggestions, or is it an impossible thing to do?

Any help/comments are appreciated.

I believe only Mad Duff, also a member here and a member of loaches.com has successfully bred them. However, the way he bred his loaches, they were mostly by nature and accidental, if only intentional was possible.

Yoyo loaches do tend to get gravid with eggs. I've had several females that were ripe with eggs, however, in a community tank, chances are very rare for the fry to likely survive and reach adult stage.

Just check Mad Duff's threads in loaches.com and you can learn a lot about the way he bred his loaches.

Yea, I may have another setup I can put them in if I really wanna give this a go. I've just started to try breeding dwarf gourami's so it would be cool to also get Paki Loaches going too.

Unfortunately yoyo/almorhae are one of the species I have yet to get fry from even though I have had large egg laden females on regular occasions, the eggs have been either laid or reabsorbed and as yet no fry. There is a thought that almorahe eggs may be bouyant, they have been spawned commercially and this was observed on a couple of occasions that the eggs were semi bouyant and would probably indicate why fry and adults never seem to be found together in the wild.

I have spawned kubotai, histrionica, splendida and sidthimunki and the next botia species I am working on is striata and then I will have a go at almorhae again and it does seem with almorhae that egg collection/protection will be the issue to over come
