I am working on breeding. I just need females. I got my old hystrix back and he looks almost fully rolled. Thinking I might start that project up again. Maybe. Otherwise I just have all males, working on helping a friend sell a few so I got 2 motoro males, and my hystrix male in addition to my Leo male.

Mine do the same thing vamptrev
They syke you out few weeks before. If you want it to happen faster raise the temp a bit and add a horny male

I dont want it to happen faster i want the pups as big as possible when born. Ive also dropped all my tanks down to 78 degrees to see how these pups do in cooler water

They do fine in 78 my tanks are always at 77-79 mine all hold for long times in cooler water .
Near end of pregnancy
In the wild they would move to the shallows to birth which will naturally be warmer waters. This is why once I start seeing what your describing I raise the temp up to 82-84 for a few days usually they give birth few days or when that temp increase occurs.
