well the thing with them is they are hard to keep and are not for beginners and do not breed well in captivity that is why there is not alot in the hobby dont get me wrong you can find them if you have a arm and a leg to spare lol
My reply is about 6 months late but I have a female. She is approx 15 years old. I wonder how many years she has left. Someone told me they live to be about 20 .. she looks so healthy. Maybe she will live forever !! I hope so. She is very gentle and actually sort of affectionalte. [if she is cold she will climb into my hair ... ]

I would like to ad that they do have a long life span. the one we have is 18 years old.
