Ok so idiots making tha tank made it tall rather than wide so its been delayed a week, but in the mean time, the RTG is here! I let my GATF go, but only to a friend whos house is my 2nd home and for a £50 profit i couldnt say no, basicly a 8" GATF payed for 15" RTG :headbang2 and i still see the GATF about three times a week... so i decided its best for me to move the cichlids out now otherwise im guna want to keep em in the mix... only the RT, 4 dats, plecs and my humbug cat are left in there, and i quite like it, guna put the cichlids in a tank under neither the primitive com, maybe a 5x2x2?... but yea, defiateky need more asains to brighten it up, but they will come along the way... in the mean time, ive found a african aro!!!! its in germany and $100 shipping but sod it, im getting one! they are 12" too :headbang2

Are they OK with anything they cannot swallow? Or get picked on by anything?

Truly awsome animals. Rudimentary lung and all, I understand...

they are highly unpredictable and extreme caution is advised when tanking them with anything..... Poly and myself had a conversation about this yest and agreed that they are highly unpredictable.... they seem to go one of three ways, hate other fish, hate other bowfin or they are fine for com. but its techy and even if they seem ok they can snap at any point.... very interesting but unpredictable fish....

Make one spectacular specimen fish though. Many thanks...

For a prehistoric look I would think Dinosaur.... designs that have not changed much over the years.

For a prehistoric andscape, i prefer all fish should not to be colorful. A rocky background, gravel, and sparse hardy plants tied to driftwood.

1/2 the tank litted by a spot light for the shadowy lurking effect.

A Oz lungfish, an humpy endy, a spotted gar, a green arowana, a pacman cat, an irwini, a Apurensis catfish and a brown ray.

I'll add in a school of dull colored barbs for the prey effect.
