As far as I know, pearlies are genetic. Concerning shine level, that can be increased with WTT till fish is about 14 inches. Then most people recommend putting a bbxb in a dark tank.

Is it possible to increase pearlies? Or is it genetic related ?

Pretty much like lottery see this mother of pearlies, there is no way to increase pearlies since the fish is born this way. Think about a King Crowntail in bettas

I picked up a blue base yesterday, I've been told its an F2 which if it is, is pretty cool although not close enough to nature to be pure but comes from a wild blood line
