Preparation for termite treatment

Hello; I have treated my house twice. I went to a site- Do Your Own Pest Control. I used a treatment that goes into the ground. Had to dig a trench in areas with soil and had to drill holes thru the cement in other places. I fitted a 1/2 inch rebar about four feet long into a stout drill. After digging a shallow trench I would drill the rebar into the trench at about 1 foot intervals. Then mix up a few gallons of the treatment and pour it into the trench or into the holes in the cement.
I forget the name of the treatment just now but can find it. It was the type that the workers would carry into a nest.

That place also sold back a few years ago the sort of bait traps you can set into the ground. I have not tried that yet. I did nothing about my fish at all. I do not have dogs or cats.

Interesting, something that seeps down into the ground where the termite's tunnels and nests are.....sounds like it would be effective.

Hello; The idea is to make a barrier. If the workers tunnel thru an area with the chemical it gets on or in them and they take it back to a nest. Ithink I spent a bit over two hundred dollars for the chemical a few years ago. Had to buy a set of long drill bits as i have an extra thick slab in a few places.

From memory the name of the chemical was termidore (SP). I have some paper work around if any one want me to find the exact name. A lot of work in some ways.

I have heard of Termidor,I think the product I used contains it.

The slightest change to environmental conditions, such as air temperature or quality, can seriously impact aquarium ecosystems. A structural fumigation with Vikane gas fumigant impacts the environment within tented structures in two ways that can harm these aquatic ecosystems.
you have to pay attention to that
