You are going to need around 50watts for the U/V sterilizer. You mat be able to get away with 30. Got to Dr Foster & Smith and read up on them.

Nah the silver and jardini aren't mixed currently but have been in the past, so we'll see how that goes... Bit concerned but, no harm in trying as long as im careful...

Yuh i've had a read up, and most of the ones i've found over here for aquaria aren't powerful enough for the size... So pond i think it's gonna have to be

I have operated a 36 watt Coralife Turbo-Twist 12x UV on the return line of an Eheim GCCO with a flow rate of about 50 gallons (US) per hour. At this flow rate parasites should be killed, but some can live on never reaching the UV filter in their life cycle. Nothing I tried rid my tank of Flukes. I finally tore down the tank and circulated 16 gallons of bleach for three days.
