That feline generator is hilarious. I don't know how to make it automatic but I've seen a few posts about keeping a bottle filled with atmosphere and connected to lines for the aquarium. When the power goes out, just open the valve so air can flow. I can't remember who it was but he said he had a whole fish room that could run for days like this. Seems ideal for living up North or wherever power is a problem. From experience, I can tell you this is worthwhile to me since I've had BB die and my fish die afterward. It's an inconvenience in the least even when the fish survive. I've been looking for an atmosphere bottle I could put a gauge on and have rigged up like this. I'd fill it with my tire pump. It can build to 150 psi. An automatic switch would be supreme! Ideas?
