Not to mention rain fall has been very low.
I was just talking to guy from Broward yesterday who caught a few salivina cichlids on wax worms 2 days ago.
Have you ever caught any yourself there?
Yes! By Hook and by Net. Last memorial day I spent 2 days fishing. Pulled Mayans Tilapia bass bream and Salvini out left and right in a ditch canal behind my wifes work.
Numerous nettings have produced baby mayans and small salvini and mollies.
This past weekend, Went fishing caught Tilaps bream and Mayans. Small bass and catfish too.
Was at the spot I usually can net out fish and was just throwing out Gulp worms. Nothing was biting but in the past few days its been Cichlid Central. Saw my first Wild/Released Oscar in about 10 years. Mayans like crazy. Today went and threw the rod a few times. Beautiful Pair of Peakcocks but nothing. I put the worm right in front of them and they look at it but then swam away. The only thing i have ever line caught here was a catfish. If I could put a hook on a bobber/popper then I can catch gar left and right. It has teeth marks on the bobber from last night.
