Price check on dovii pair???

I always go back to the basics, what did you pay? how long have you had them?

You are not going to make a mint selling dovi, just try not to lose too bad.

If they are wild caught then they will be on the pricey side. If they are tank bred, anywhere from $80 to $150. You will see people put outrageous prices. So just shop around.

I actually ordered them localy from a reputable shop in my town. I got them when they were maybe a 1.5'' and had been growing them out for a little over two years. My only issue is that im kinda burnt out on having a large tank with only two fish, its kinda of a drag. But dont get me wrong they are a beautiful fish I love the hell out of em i've never put that much effort into a fish. I would just like to be able to add some tank mates. Last time I tried to put a pleco in there I had to sprint back to the tank to pull him out before it was to late.

I see plenty that go for real cheap or even free. They are a special needs fish and most people have no business keeping one so you end up with a lot of people trying to rehome theres at 10-12".

If they are a spectacular wild caught pair or something you can get a decent price for them. If they are an average Dovii you are not going to get much. Plus there are going to only be a couple people in most areas other then so cal that can even properly house a pair so that really limits there market.

Great post there, and it doesn't only apply to dovii. Lots of fish on this site are destined to be re-homed.

True, true. Perhaps that's why there are lots of "wilds" available lately.

Ultimately, it always comes down to matching up a seller with a buyer. I'm sure they're are lots of rare, wild-caught bearded dragons for sale and commanding top dollar, but you couldn't GIVE me one of those. Similarly, I've paid stupid money for fish before --- only justifiable to me alone.
