Very cheap for a goldsaum... and a 75 would be a fine tank for it with tankmates... but not a dovii

Around here they are like 5$, but none of them have great color. Atleast the ones I've seen haven't.

I paid 50 bucks for this male. He is about 8" or so and pretty thick. GT's have great personality like a oscar but look much better.

geez your guys GT are expensive! in san diego little ones 2-4" go for like $2.39 AND BIG ONES LIKE $10-20

It's all about supply and demand. Around Boston you will not find a GT 8" except for on rare occasions such as a store trade. I have a better chance of finding a Dat than a grown out male GT. You may be able to find a 4" or so but anyone who raises these know that the difference between a 4" and 8" to 10" GT can be years so I didn't mind paying a high price.

the closest LFS here..which i visit the most often..usually gets large ones in on trades, so they go for 30 no matter the size..last week there was a 12 1/2 inch male that was a hog, and i was broke..i would have scooped it up the second i saw it

A 12" GT for for $30!! That is an awesome price. I know that small GTs are dirty cheap but a large show male would probably cost alot more money.
