Price for red Sev???

I got my red sev for 79 bucks he was about 6-7 so 35 sounds write . There really hard to get in my area for some reason hes really nice dark red markings and he eats only biogold and krill .
 
I got 3 that were between 3-4" for $26 at a local fish auction.
 
Why are the reds so much more expensive hybrids ??? They really great fish even the gold and green alot of personality like my oscar .
 
I'm talking about red head sevs.........just want to make sure I'm on the same page here.
 
To see one of these in an LFS basically blanks out the price to me.There would be no cost issue if i could find true juvies of Rotkeil or Red Shoulder:D:D
 
Rapps has a good price on Red head juvies right now.

I have two "Rotkeil" in my 75, one from Rapps and the other from Mainly Cichlids. The one from Rapps was $40 without shipping and was 6 inches, and it's color isn't as good as some I've seen (people keep thinking it's a green!). The Sev. from Mainly Cichlids was $79 with shipping included and is about 8 inches.

I got mine as a juvie from Rapps over a year ago, and it's the nicest looking sev i've ever seen. Heros rotkeil. He has some amazing blues at the edges of his fins, and his trailer is just incredible. It's pretty much my favorite fish and the one I've kept the longest. :D. Oh, and it's about 5-6 inches.


Not to mention, he's pretty indestructible. I had an unfortunate ich and fungi attacks on one of my older tanks that nearly wiped out everything besides him.
