That would be great, dont you need a boat for the lake though?
Sounds sweet! Arent there snakeheads, pacu, red devils, oscars, and some other south american fish there too?Nope, I got a secret spot where we can catch them from land.

ok so it seems these kind of threads are becoming more and more popular, i thought i do one on my all time favorite fish! THE SILVER AROWANA![]()
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very common deformity that is striking more and more Silver Arowanas kept in captivity today is drop eye, a condition where the eye(s) constantly look down. It can be brought on by a fatty diet which will create deposits of fat behind the eyes. However, it is said that the more common cause is the fact that these fish are now being primarily farm raised. This creates a shallower gene pool than what is found in the wild, and can lead to a genetic predisposition to the condition. Almost all Silvers kept in tanks will get it in at least one eye.

I wish silvers were worth thousands! lol But i agree, finding a good home for it would be great, but how would I do that? So, after reading all of this thread, it sounds like basically our silver's when they're still small, ha ha mine's 19" now, aren't going to bring you "that much" money, so I'd consider finding him a new owner that would properly care for him and get him a good home instead of top dollar. Aro's aren't easy so it takes the right person. So then you'll know he's healthy and happy and loved and that peace of mind is worth a lot more than $100 (you could party that up one nice weekend and it's gone forever but the aro lives on)!
Anyone know what they're woth when they're 30" long, no drop eye, beautiful coloring? Let me guess a hundred bucks??? Someone told me mine would be worth thousands when it got to 3 ft. Ha ha ha ha ha jokes on me, and they weren't talking asian.![]()
