price of black aro?

I was at Tong's today in Whittier and they had one that is about 12" for around 200ish.

$229 is the average price for black when reaching about 12" in my area, then again since i got into this hobby not yet finding 5-6 inch long
Back aro prices will vary greatly by market. That price seems a little on the high side, but then again how many black aros do you see for sale in your area?
Over the past 3-4 years, Ive seen baby blacks aros go for any where between $30-$120 from online vendors, when they are in season(spring time). Though with seeing that this year they are available now, it could mean that there are captive bread now entering the market. Usually you don't see them available until late march through early june.

Im in kansas, right in the middle of the states. I figure if price is purely based on location, Id probably be in one of the highest cost areas. Being that most distributors are on either coast. The only thing that gets me here is the shipping costs. But with my lfs I dont have to worry about that.
