im thinking about buying a black arow but i've seen posts saying that they're 200-300$ and also posts that say during the black arow season they're 50$. Im 16 years old and i definitely don't have enough money to buy one if they're 200$, but i can afford it if it's around 50$.

Anyways my question is if black arows are ever cheap or if there is a season where i can buy a black arow for under 60$? Thanks for the help ^^

when their in season the should be cheap last season ones with egg sacs were 35$ each i missed out last season next one i wont!

Ya.. its true.. they are overprice in LFS.. their rare because Brazil banned the export of this fish.. The ones you see all the time are Local Breeds.. from wholesellers... I've seen them go for $60 as fries.. and $100 for 4" or more..

There was a huge sale back in summer.. blk arow fry for $35.. but that was a while ago..

I would either get them from a vendor here on MFK.. when their in season.. which is early summer...

how many inches are they with egg sacs, and how can you tell if they are in fact black arows? I imagine they'd looks almost exactly the same as silver arows at that size, no? I don't want to mistakenly buy a silver, nothing against silvers but i find black arows way nicer
