Some may grow fast some may grow slow. Depends on your water quality, food and tank size.

They get fairly large and fairly quickly in my experience but it wont top 12" from that size in anything less than a year i would say, i have two a 16"+ and an 18"+ they are great polypterus deffinitely my favourite polypterus £25 seems fair but see if you can get it for £20

Haha i got them down on a fire eel, that i didnt buy in the end lol but i got it down from 125-100.

Ye they would be fine......in my experience at least.

Especially if you grew them up together.
Mine occasionally chase eachother but never bite and dont persue it just a quick nude then they go back to minding their own business so id go for it.
