Hi guys. I'm new to Severums and I just decided to change up my 225g and added a few Severums. I'm looking into these 2 beautiful Male/Female Red Severums at 7"-8" at my LFS but their asking a hefty price. First they wanted 75 bux each but I got them to knock it down to 100 bux for the pair. Is it too pricey? I just picked up a pair of male/female Gold Severums at 7"-8" for 50 bux. Are Reds that much more expensive?

For a pair Rotkeils that are 7-8 inches that seems like a fair price. I wouldn't pay too much more than that though. It all boils down to how much you are willing to pay and if you can afford the fish. If I really want the fish i will pay for them so its your call.
did you mean "red severums" (all red) or "red shoulder severums" (red head/shoulder)?
$100 for a pair of 7-8" red severums is a great price....I bet somebody brought them in for next to nothing....

I was referring to all red severums. The one that looks like the gold severum but with lots more red dots. Wasn't talking about rotkeils. I picked up a 6" Rotkeil a whiles back for 15 bux. So u guys think 100 bux for the Red Severum pair is a good price? If so I going to call them tomorrow and put them on hold for me.

Yup a pair of male and female. I'll take pics of them once I bring them home. The pair of Gold Severums I picked up today are pretty big too. The male is at least 8-9" and the female is not much smaller then it at 7-8"
