price per gallon of used tank

If you add in other things, like a stand, light, lids, filter, heater, rocks, decorations, the 1 dollar per gallon does not apply in my opinion. If someone did sell it at that price with a lot of other things, it would sell pretty quick.

For example a good condition 90 gallon tank with stand, heater, filter, lights/lids, decorations would sell fast for only 90 dollars and would be a steal.

+1 i don't think there's a hard rule that applies to all areas either. it's really dependent on the supply and demand in your area too.
