notably, my LFS (cartimar) has fluctuating prices... and i am there thrice a week... an aro could cost $5 at one stall and $30 at the next one.. gotta walk around and ask around to get the best deals... it is the best high to low end fish place over here...

and yes, with enough money, you could get anything you want at cartimar

Been ogling at a 6inch Greenie for Rs.6500 [Roughly $130]. Comes with a certificate and all that.

The Golds and The Reds are above Rs.20,000 [Roughly $400] which is way beyond what i can afford

Silvers are at $20-$30.

No idea about Blacks or Africans.

I think its ridiculous they charge $AU150+ in my local fish shops for a Jardini, when i see them dirt cheap overseas I feel abit hurt by our local fish shops trying to rip off their own people.

As much as i want to buy a Jardini I wont out of principle.


Im waiting until I work in China and buying an Asian Arowana my GF mother said around $AU200 you can buy a Golden Arowana

You should just go fish for one if you live in Aussie...

In the northern California, Silver Aro's are the cheapest, around $20 for a 5-6inch....Jardini's at 5 inches cost around $70. I've only seen Black Aro's around the 8inch size for sale, and they sell for around $200.
