Prices of Frontosa

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was told by someone that the wilds are difficult. It is due to the difference in where they came from and the aquarium.

And fronts will not spawn well with other fish in the tank. When mine reach 2 years of age I will remove the Brichardi, and Albino Bristlenose.

Cyphos.com may give you some good info on the fronts breeding. It have been down for repair but may be back up now.

By the time you breed them, it's likely the price will have changed anyways. If you like Frontosa a lot as a fish, then breed them. They can come with a lot of frustration getting them to breed sometimes, so you better like them. I know from personal experience to not work with something I can loose interest in.

I like mine a lot even though I am frustrated with their lack of breeding, and my only complaint is I cannot offer them a ridiculous giant tank like a few members here have. Then I could truly admire their wild personality in relation to other species of Tanganyika.

I can't imanage any Front breeding to be bad. Worst case, if one doesn't like breeding, proven pairs/colonys can't be hard to sell.
