Prices on Long fin albino Bichir?

hey gitz21, are those lf albinos at desert pet center in tucson?
i live about 20 minutes away from there :D
$189 is a bit expensive for their size. i really doubt anyone
would pay that much.... but you never know.

I'd pay that much for a 12" LF Platinum too, too bad nobody would sell one that cheap :grinno:

Anyhow, I just picked up my longfin yesterday, $30 @ about 6". I've been watching 3-4" Platinums go for $80-100 + s/h. I'd totally snatch up a Platinum LF adult given the opportunity. Too bad the fish in question is just an albino. Not to say that it's not uncommon, or worthy of a price beyond a regular LF (since it totally is), I just personally don't like albinos :screwy:
 
Yup it is at Desert Pet Center in Tucson. I choked when I saw the $ amount. That store is always selling fish for outrageous amounts.
 
i would buy it because the last time ive seen a reg seg. at LFS was 40$ and a year and half ago no polys around hear albino longfin would be a great find
 
got 4 of my LF normal senegals from a tanks full of thousand of baby senegals with only around US$ 1.00 at my place.
that make me always interest in a baby tank when i saw one. now searching for LF albino and platinum, hehe

Well you drug up an old thread. I'm jealous of you with Monster Aquarium as your LFS I got a 9" longfin albino sengalus in december and it was marked at $250 at the same store they have 3" albinos for $20. I know the guy that does the ordering and I was there when they ordered him for $189
