And I lied.. I bought 15 of them...

yeah i did.. I called to inquire about the price increase and was told their wholesale price increased. But since I'm a regular addict, I mean customer, ordering almost weekly for the last 10+ years, they offered me a discount.. I was told there was only 18 left after there was 50 the previous day. So yeah, I caved.. Honestly, I think i would've caved either way, but the discount certainly helped..

I'm jealous of your school of 120 H. pulchripinnis... One day....

I got issues.. I actually rehomed H. sp. "Muzel Red Cherry" school a few weeks back to replace with a school of H. peugeoti from Wes.. Yeah another $25 little tetra.. But they came in smaller/younger than anticipated, so I put them in a 10G to grow out.. The new tetras are WC Protocheirodon pi and I was told they're actually minimum 1.5+".. It was an easy pivot when they became available as I've been searching for them for a few years now with no luck.. Wish I would've gotten more, but 15 should be fine in the 75G w/ 40+ Tucanoichthys Tucano tetras.. Funny, when I had them before, they were some of the least popular tetras, often languishing on stock lists for months.. I guess the 2 year hiatus made them more marketable..

The moral to the story is tariff pricing won't stop a true addict, I mean hobbyist..
