+1, I would never buy a grown fish. At two feet, that arowana could be a lot older than you'd want it to be, reducing the time you'll have to enjoy it. I think you will have more love and appreciation for your fish if you raise it from a baby size, and you will benefit from the learning experience of it all.

It doesn't matter what people tell you it's worth
The fish is priced at $400 if everyone tells you it's only worth $399 would you not buy for $1
A fish is only worth what someone is willing to pay
If you like it you have the tank space and money buy it if not walk away
Just do loads of reading on jardini before you buy it
