Any P14 pics? Ive heard a lot about them but dont recall what they look like.

And buying CB isnt a problem, Id prefer it anyway.

Thanks everyone for helping the noob! :D

Is ther like a number of rays=tank size ratio or anything? Will rays breed normally even with other species in the tank(not hybrids)? How much do scobina, castexi, and hystrix cost?

Thanks!

Hystrix arent alot, but another small ray is a laticep, they are cheep to.

Ive personally never seen pics of scobina or hystrix, and I've never even heard of a laticep... :newbie:

Any comments on the above questions though?

Hi,

The Itaituba ray (P14) can grow to a disk size of 20" and I would not say that this is a small ray. But they stay smaller than the other black rays.

I only saw ones a 20" animal and I have strong believes it was a hybrid. All my 7 adult females are around 16" .
Best regards
Frank

Only 16"!!!!!!!!!!!! That is amazing especially since they are so old Frank. It can't be due to lack of space in the mega tank:D.

Bjorn told me his female is 20", and to be producing 13 pups per a batch she must be close to that. For those who haven't seen Bjorn's site here it is.

Is there a chance of two variations here, a wild hybrid somewhere back down the line perhaps?

Just a thought...

Not to be rude, but it would be nice if my questions could be answered. :)
