Prime: How much can I use?

The bottle says a capful to 50 gallons. Can I use more than that if my nitrates are high? Is a double dose safe? Should I wear black socks or tan socks today?

If your nitrates are high, just do your water change and add the normally required amount of Prime. Adding more will do you no good... I know it says on the bottle that it "detoxifies nitrate" but the only real way your going to remove it is by water changes....

Does Prime accumulate in the tank or is it broken down by filtration?
