prime vs safe

Same experience here as others. I dose it right to the tank as im filling. for 100 gallons you use 1/4 teaspoon. For smaller tanks ive got much smaller measures. Really last a lot longer. the 2.2 lb (1kilo) bottle treats up to 200,000 gallons and will last you years in most cases. Also detoxifies Nitrite, Nitrate and Ammonia. Removes Chlorine and Chloramine. I paid $24 US for my bottle and I have close to 18 running tanks currently.

BTW its not meant to mix with water to make a prime fluid. Its meant to dose dry.

Hey Guys, Has anyone heard of Nite Out 2?? Its a Nitrate remover, that is hard to find. I was wondering if when you do water changes, do you have to add another chemical to the water before you add Nite Out 2, like Prime? :)
thanks Hope someone can help me?

I haven't heard of nite out but honestly it sounds like some kind of snake oil scheme to me. Plants and water changes seem to be the only true nitrate "removers".

...back in topic

I recently switched to prime to safe and am very much enjoying the extra cash in my pocket!

I use safe also, its not exactly the same...safe wont remove any trace of heavy metals and no benefit to the slime coat of fish as prime does both. its no biggie but imo.

I was also told to be carefully with safe as if you do add too much unlike prime it can cause water issues ? how true this is I do not know.

Actually it does do all that. According to seachem. ...

Safe™ is the dry version of*Prime®*and shares all of it’s advantages; however, Safe™ is even more concentrated than*Prime®.
