Was wondering, I am going to recieve a shipment tommorow. I paid for 2 day Fed Ex. It is 30 degrees right now where I am at. I tracked the package and it is at TX where it is like 20 something degress. Anyone recieve a shipment of fish under these conditions?

many, many times. Often they are fine as long as they were packaged well wiht heat packs.

Yep all my orders have been fine in the middle of winter, most vendors pack well and use heat packs

I work at a fish store where we get weekly shipments. Even during winter monthes. As long as the person you ordered from packed it nice, and put heat packs in there. You'll be fine.

I received a package from snookn21 a week ago when it was 7 degrees outside. The fish was just fine. It was next day shipping though.

I received a fish from another vendor a week before that, next day shipping, at like 20 or 30 degrees and the fish was DOA.

As mentioned, it depends on whether the shipper knows what he is doing or not.

usually they are shipped in a stirofoam package too, which helps. most reputeable places that ship fish guarantee the fish to be live on arrival. just be sure to ask the delivery person wait a second to make sure the fish is alive. if not, refuse the package. they'll make a note of it and where ever you got it from should take care of you wether it's a refund or a new fish.

will a fish live though 2 day shipping

I had fishes delivered in two days before and they came out okay the majority of the time. But that was in the Spring. I never got anything in the Wiinter and the very cold days thou. The cost is cheaper for 2 day shipping.

Just worried about the temperature because the water can be like frozen.
