Priority mail and snow: Shipping/recieving live fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got my fish today. It was in the box for about 50 hours. When I looked in the bag, the fish was not moving or anything and had no breaths. Then I rushed to put it in the tank. I just dropped him in and it was life less for about 5-6 seconds. After I did that, the goby took a breath, then another breath. It looks like he was on the verge of death or something but he is fine now after I put the goby in the tank. Took the temp of the water and it was at 52 degrees which is not too bad.

Would I do it again in the Winter? $21 bucks for shipping, I would do it again.

Yes, it made it. But it looks like if it was in the box for a longer period of time, like another day, it probably would have died. Some times priority mail USPS would take 3 days. I bought the 2 day Fed Ex one.

It had two heat packs in it and the packing was good, a lot of bags and a whole lot of newspapers.

hurm im gonna try it

but on a cheaper fish lol

like maybe a convict idk

Glad he made it.2 day shipping is no big deal for smaller and juvie fish as long as its done right.

yea im gonna have a wolf shipped to me :P

usps cant even manage to deliver weekly flyers from the grocery store correctly.. why would you ever use them to ship a live fish...
