Pristis Microdon Latham or Saw Tooth Shark

If anyone wants to see some monster 17-22 ft specimens of this species check out the aquarium at the mall of America. They have 2 or three of them. Worth paying he extra 15 bucks and going behind the curtains. They walk you above the tank.

These dudes come up to the top as you walk over them shake that saw out of the water and beg for food. Scared the crap out of me. I love fish, but that 5 foot long saw is scary!

actually when they are full grown they head out to sea....

Bumping this thread because, well, it's amazing!

How would someone go about getting a sawfish? Are they CITES protected? Seems like it would be very difficult to get - is it even possible?

It was recently updated 5 years ago. Still old, yes, but it hasn't been inactive for 10 years.
