i know... just bad experiences(560 dollar monster, victim from poor packaging...no refund or guarantee) ... what i usualy do is get them from my boss. he sets em up with a bubbler/heater in a large bucket, then he drops them off on his way home. ricks a good guy;)

I do have a shrewd guess what the island is but I could be wrong. People here do have a knack for using fine white sand from beaches as substrate. It just increases the pH and hardness levels compared to river sand unless you're keeping sensitive specimens such as altums.
