Depends on whether the DA wants to make an example of the case. If so, hold on to your butt. Figure heavy fines. Possibly jail or probation. The judge can even revoke the right to keep pets for an extended length of time as part of the probation.

Even a small fine may be enough for your parents to put the kabosh on your keeping any tanks in the house.

But you started out asking about stingrays until someone said something.

You can realistically get anything you want as long as you're not giving tours of your aquarium to the local neighbors. That being said there are plenty of people who keep pets in illegal states but if you're a dumbass you're going to get caught.

I've heard talk of a ray ban throughout the u.s., could be just rumor and probably is but what is everyone going to do with their rays? euthenize them or keep it on the dl? You can do what you want but don't ask stupid questions and don't exclaim it.

No, I said I would love to keep stingrays. But I would never keep them in a state that prohibits them. My sig states that " that is my dream tank" Which will hopefully happen when I move to boston. This thread was made for a friend of mine, but he got his answer when he read it.
