hey guys i have been dealing with convicts for years now ....
and if i count to u the females i lost u can't imagine ... i even got used on that and after every spawn i say bye bye to the female lol

the best thing for convicts is to have a big tank with extra females than males and alot of caves and another smaller tank beside them .. and just after u see a paired off pair net them up to the another breeding tank after they do their job and the fry free swimming net the pair again to the big tank ** with extra females ** that is the most important step to keep ur females
and as the convicts are not paired off the whole life that means that the male can breed with lots of females so the unready female will be hiding while the mean males ( lol ) ll be going around with the ** extra ready female **
that is it .. and really if i counted to u the lovely females i lost u won't believe me i even lost once a big bumped male ....
i was just selling my last fry few seconds ago
after i hated them lol and start feeding them to the ARO
wish u best of luck man ... and do not u ever say ( problem breeding convicts again ) again .. convict are pooing fry man ... lol
