Problem with tortoise...help please.

Hahaha, a friend of mine told me about at an expo there was this guy that had two Russian tortoises and African Spurred in a kiddie pool. The Russians just went around doing their own things, but the African Spurred could see over the rim and was trying to muscle his way out.

Lol, I was at this fair once and they had a petting zoo. They had a big African Spurred in one of those collapsible hexagon dog pens. Well this tortoise took that dog pen for a ride all over the petting zoo! It's like the cage wasn't even there for him. Lots of power in that animal.

I use a metal cage pen thing for my 2 hermans but the weather sucks so they haven't used it.

Can you let it run around the house? my friend lets their sulcata free in the house & yard.
they even have a golden retriever.
But when he was small like 8", they kept him in a tub. then he started to climb out of it and they just let it loose.
Shell-chan is 50cm now!

Glass and wooden vivs are bad.
get a rubbermaid tub or storage tub or make a tortoise table (google it)...or indoor rabbit cage.

Why not build a permanent outdoor enclosure or get a large large indoor rabbit cage and use that as a outdoor and indoor cage!
put soil at the bottom with some plants foood, water, and rocks and leave it out in the summer and bring it in in winter.

You cant let him roam freely, it can cause problems.
carpets, and floorings contain stuff that can harm torts
