i just got a 180 gallon tank and we left all the used sponges in the filter and used all the gravel they had in they tank. my question is if everything was running the day before i got and two 3 inch oscars have been living in it for 3-4 days should i put my 7 inch silver arowana in it to or put it in the 30 (36 x 12 x 18) for a while (with the other fish waiting to go in the 180, including a 12 inch clown knifefish)

test the water..when did you get the tank?

you should be good. theres alot of tanks space, what else do you have in there beside the two oscars? Whats your tank dimensions? put some floating plants. it will help your aro adjust easier. the aro is bigger than the oscars, i think it would be ok.

check you water parameters first. that will tell you alot about where your tank stands.. ammonia, nitrIte and nitrates.. then plan according. if your nitrates are a little high do a small water change.. then add the aro.. should be fine

got the water tested, water quality is good, so he went in the 180 (6 x 2 x 2). the tank was running for years before they sold it to me and the left the filter filled with water so the bacteria stayed alive and they left some water in with the gravel so the bacteria in there should be alive to.

P.S. i'll get pics soon, want to let him adjust before i take the pics.
P.P.S. he has blue and orange in its scales

its got a rena xp4 filter
