When u gotta run home and do a quick water change cause forgot to turn on the filters. Fish are swimming at the top. B4CFE97B-6633-4EF7-A480-9BFDBBCF4BA7.jpeg

Or you do turn the power back on but forgot to open the valves, and the impeller is going for 2 days before you realize the valves are still closed... :uhoh:
Oh yea that’s a prob.

Or another good one was when I took the connection off while the valve wasn’t closed.

The learning curve of my first fx-5 filter. Lol.

I've never forgot to turn off the valve, but I have had the hose and valve separate when I was trying to take the valve off. Water going everywhere, Im fighting the flow to get the hose back on, while screaming for my son to go grab a screwdriver. He was probably 4yrs old at the time.

I tend to forget to plug in my heaters after completing water changes.....for obvious reasons that is not a problem this time of year though.

Forgot once to turn the heater back on after a water change mid winter, didn't notice until 2 weeks later when I noticed the fish were a bit sluggish and the tank was down to 13°C.

No losses though.

Damn two weeks! Last time I can recall having such a lapse was about two days after a partial water change.I was wondering why none of my normally greedy young growouts were not eating until I noticed that the plug was not in the socket.
