I was going to try breeding these as food for my big fish, but as far as I can determine it is illegal to sell them in California.

I kinda miss having marble crays because they are such a great source of free food and effortless to breed...

I read some legislative action about importation of competing species, or non-native species.
I think it had to do with the decimation of the Shasta crayfish.
I need to talk to the local Fish and Game dept. because our area may never have had Shastas, but it sounded like a state-wide thing.
I sort of lost interest when other projects became critical.
