I have been breeding flower horns in my 220, 125, 120 I have 4 pairs and I get 20 batches of fry a year with 20 fry per batch and I sell for $20-$100 a piece depending on size and type.

20 fry per batch only? wow thats so little.

It takes money to make money and if you want to start breeding fishes that would generate a large income you have invest in buying the fish and buying the right equipment to care for them. So if I was you iwith your set up I will go with the freshwater shrimp. Good luck with your business venture:cool:

There are some different species of convicts. If you can I'd pick up wild, albino, black, and another breed (from tangledupincichlids.com from Jeff Rapps) then let these pair off. You will get some really cool looking convicts from here! You can no doubt make a few $100 dollars every month with the right combination of color. The wild ones sell for like $12 I think and you can make good money off them. If I were you I would pick up some bigger tanks and keep a lookout for some bigger tanks. It's amazing how much of a bigger variety you can have of fish, in just maybe 20 gallons larger. If you can get a 75 then that will TRIPLE your amounts of options. Just keep a lookout for good deals on larger tanks. Good luck! Im gonna start a convict breeding project soon. I'm gonna get pink convicts and wild convicts and see what I can get. I should get some nice colors. I'll keep you guys updated. Good luck though! Get a bigger tank and you have a lot bigger options.

Fish that are bread in a tank cannot be sold as wild.

I'm quite sure wild isn't a different species....... Also you can't expect full retail for fish especially convicts.... no one wants convicts.

Oh Im saying the colors of the fish are the ones from the wild ones. Example: I get a wild caught male and breed it with a pink tank bred female. Some will probably have the more unique "wild" colors. But, they wouldnt sell as wild convicts rather a new species or something. I'm not sure. But the wild convicts I've seen have very amazing coloring and would have awesome babies!
