some of you might already read the closed thread because of pretty much beating up the dead horse over and over, this is the progress of keeping a silver aro brought to you my noob :headbang2

i just scored a tank and i will keep the size secret for now, but i assure you i will do another in the future for the last tank that can keep a school of arowanas.
got the tank and all that craps for $50 :naughty:, i dont like the filter that comes with it and will do an upgrade..it is now cycling fishlessly..and going to buy jumbo neons for the sacrificial again aka test fish the aro dinner.
my silver aro still do not want pellets.

this is his current resident untill its ready, when he transferred the tank will be used to breed his meals.

You want to keep the size a secret? Yet you post a pic of a 55g tank :ROFL:
 
does not look like a 55.. looks bigger to me...
 
what do you guys think of fluval canister fx5 as its filteration, they say its rated for up to 400G aquarium?
 
It's a very good filter, but I would not rely on one alone for anything close to a 400 gallon tank unless it had only a couple of feeder goldfish for stock.

It is a decent affordable canister filter that would be good to move to the upgraded larger tanks as your arowana grows
 
i would lay off feeding live and frozen as well, those kind the only thing he will eat :(
its been 3 days he ate no live, he's eating frozen for now, every thing i put in pellet he would just glance and move-away..
btw how much would you pay for slightly used FX5 that comes with everything?
 
$150 maybe?
