the ick was 99% banished from the aro, was feeding my fish breakfast.
going to do another WC and keeping the ich treatment still making sure icks 100% gone from my tank in the week ahead.
i will can never get good picture due to using my crappy blackberry tour picture, my dad back in Los Angeles has my camera.
here it is the latest pic of it.
these pic is couple mins old from the time this msg is posted, its their breakfast time. the aro does eat pellet and dried, i do not even have to train him to accept.

What I meant was, wait until ammonia and nitrite are zero AFTER you've been adding ammonia every day, or letting a prawn rot in there, for however long it takes.
i never add ammo to my tank, the fishes create ammo:nilly:

set up a auto water changer keeps tank water pristine changes are made slow so no stress on fish. I use a 300 gal pond filet from home depot cost about $75 does a great job.
thats sounds like cool thing to do, u have the DIY handy, or link for it?

wow alot of flamers
the aro IS in great shape now, i could bet its healthier than urs:naughty:
if i dont know what im doing dont u think my fish would be in critical condition by now if not dead :screwy:
i got hard time taking pics of him, he is too active for close up picture or maybe the current lightning with this time of day is not great for my camera..i will try to snap another as the sun come up some more :headbang2

Possibly.... except my aros don't have ich, nor are recovering from a recent jump out on to the kitchen floor. Not to mention my arowana haven't been living in a ammonia and nitrite laden cesspool of an uncycled tank for the last three weeks.:duh:you sure your aro is healthy?:screwy: too bad there is now way to tell all the irreparable damage you have done to that poor fish, health wise.:(

i dont know what ur assumption based on about irreparable damage?
icks r 99% gone from his body, cought it early..if anything i will have a fish thats physically and mentally stronger not die easily because of my "training" :P
yes im sure its healthy, i can tell sick fish and what not. like i told u here my aro is the weakest in the tank and he is on his way to put it to an end.

Yes, and then they have to swim in it and breathe it over their gills.

Until you're willing to wallow in your own waste, don't subject your fish to the same.

It isn't an assumption. You remember those scientific articles I posted a couple pages back? Do I need to post them again? Prolonged exposure to ammonia causes permanent damage to the fish.

You can't "train" a fish to withstand ammonia. Geez I cannot believe you keep repeating that.
