just buy a fx5. then add the plants like i said before, if you like that look. just please stop saying what you have done is 'training' and your fish is now stronger. cause all you have done is put a fish through hell.

here to put it in terms that you may better understand since you seem to not get it otherwise. i am going to take you and put you in a construction site outhouse. then i will lower food to you while you are swimming in the filth. after 3-4 weeks of your 'training' you will be a much stronger person for having servived in that well used outhouse for a month.

the top one is seperated in couple section but possible from him rubbing his top to the heater and other object in the tank, still diagnosting on that case..

You think this because of your lack of understanding of the nitrogen cycle. Where do you think the high levels of nitrite came from? Prolonged is anything more then a 24 hour spike. In your case it has now been over three weeks, this is giving you the benefit of the doubt that the 20g was actually cycled, so possibly it has been 5 weeks of torture.

Pictures are poor but I would have to agree, of coarse this is not surprising considering the water conditions this poor aro is being kept in.

i do not think its fin rot, as theres no dead fins on it, when fin rot accured u will notice the white(dead fin) on it, if gets worse u might see it in the scale too..dont u agree?
but it doesnt mean i ruled out fin rot in the coming days, like i said earlier its possible damage from him rubbing his top due to ick happenned.
i will try to capture complete picture of him closer, but its hard..he is so active LOL

No. Sometimes there will be white fungal stuff on the fins, but a lot of the times the fin simply erodes away, leaving the fin looking "spiky" at first, but continuously eroding the fin away.

pics are poor, i saw a hint in a few other pics hes put up, but not as easy to see as these pics. i am suprised it only is at the level it is and not much much worse.

one "plus" from all this is that we could put some more evidence to the fact that water quality has little to do with DE, but it is more trama related. cause if it was on water this aro's eyes should be inverted.
