And as bderick already told you, the nitrite came from the ammonia. There can be no nitrite in an aquarium without there being ammonia first. Nitrite is also nitrogenous. But you have to admit your fish's immune system was weakened, otherwise ich wouldn't have been able to attach itself.

yes it does unfortunetely its the aro i was expecting my BGK the one who gets it.
thats where our path split i c ammo and nitrite 2 very different, they r not related to each but in our tank its help to complete the eco system.

I never said they were the same thing, all I said is that one depends upon the other. Nitrosomonas eat ammonia and poop nitrite. They are both nitrogenous, one is NH3, the other is NO2... in order for your system to get nitrite, first it has to get ammonia. That means that if you remove the ammonia source, you also remove the nitrite source.

thats why i added my fish in the first place because they create ammonia after let it cyle 24 hours with no fish to declorine it my tap water.
i never remove ammo as i never remove my fish which creates the ammo, i could never remove ammo unless i remove my fish but i could remove nitrites slowly but surely with WC, or some kinda ionizing "chemical" like prime.
ammonia is some kinda pungent gas while nitrite is some kinda acid thats containing carbon to oxygen, that why its worse than ammo itself so is to human.

if after this whole thread you really don't at the very least understand the nitrgen cycle, your skull is extremly thick. it has been run threw several times and you still don't get it. if this thread does get closed it will be cause your aro finally died since if it wasn't closed by now they most likly are letting you get hammered due to your own stupidity. we try to help and you dig ferther down. you see a heathy growing fish while the rest of the world sees a rotting fish, with an owner that can see that 1+1=2. you really need to drop your pride and see that your wrong. not for you, but for the fish. i have made some mistakes before, i didn't like it nor to admit it, but for my fish i did. i didn't say that your fish will live and be stronger, as it will have development problems.
