Love the white edges... my lil' guys tail is starting to get his... Looking forward to seeing how your successfully/unsuccessfully com him and with what for future use. /knocks on wood my tetras are all accounted for yet..

hey all great news today, after my post yesterday i used and old snake hook and made a target feeder thing, i basically made it straight and cut a slit in it so its like a fork rounded all the edges off ect. tryed him with some white fish last night, boy did he bite that thing hard when it entered him cave lol, spat the fish out though... today though after a trip to the local seafood store 'bam' big juicy mussel then he took another, third was just mouthed so im guessing he's full!-) very happy, i find it hard to enjoy my fish until they are feeding so now im well please, black devil ownership well and truely begins!-)

yeah im a bit sad i never got it smaller as i prefer to grow my fish but still pretty happy. how big is yours, any pics? with tetras?
also any other wyckii owners chime in and throw a pic up!-)

anyone?

Bloody hell, how many people actually keep these cats lol?-)

You have got yourself a monster cat with an attitude

I used to own a Asian Red Tail Catfish (Hemibagrus wyckioides) and it terrorized every single fish in my tank. And I believe yours will do the same also although it has a hiding spot to itself.

When the lights go out, the fun for this cat begins. . .

if it comes down to him having the 300 it does, i'm just uploading a video of him target feeding on youtube so i'll post it here when its done. still got one rtc in there which im currently looking for a nice home for so dont shoot me down for that i know it cant stay forever i was given it with the tsn and larger rtc which ive already found homes!-) the missus wants to move our lounge to the over room because its larger so that enough of an excuse to get a 4x2x2 in there for the midas and small cats, the rest im not too fussed about so place your bids.

excuse the corner there's a bit of a dead spot and some old coral sand there aswell, hard to video a black fish in a dark corner so rigged up a lamp bit glary but kinder done the job!-)

well we are coming up to two weeks and no problems other than the plecos fins being a bit torn, this may be the midas though as it happed frequently befor the black devil was introduced.

Just posted a pic up.. and hes about 4-5" now... so still tiny... He won't be our only "solitary" fish if it comes down too it.. and I think that's the biggest drawback to more people not keeping these guys. I'm hoping by the time hes big enough to go w/ our bigger cats.. they will be big enough themselves that he won't bully them.. buut.. like I said wouldn't be the first solitary tank needer in our household if it comes down too it!
