Only a few people we really interested in who's fish these were, none thought it was you, and I corrected those who were incorrect.

No matter whos they were there in good hands now. Good luck with them and do big and plenty of WC I wouldn't do so much treatment with meds as that is another killer of cichla. Keep us updated.

Yeah I stopped the Meds a while ago.

The bigger one is in with my other pbass waiting to go into a larger tank :D... I was a little puzzled by his aggression though considering he was the last one in the tank they are in... the fighting has diminished though.
 
I'm fairly certain those fish had a bacterial infection. These type infections can happen even to fish that have been well cared for. So, it may be a little unfair to accuse the previous owner of not taking care of his fish. I don't know or care who owned the fish. I'm just saying even well cared for fish can succumb to bacterial infections. Congratulations on pulling them through. Such bouts with infectious disease are more often than not fatal. Good job!
 
So they are doing much better now.
They are starting to show signs of healing.

Thats awesome that they are pulling out. Personal experience, I have had brokos that had HITH out of the bag, immediately treated with Metronidezol?sp, water changes, salt. Gill curl ensued. They lived for a few months but eventually their swim bladder was affected and they started swimming cartwheels and passed. I have 22 bass now so I am not a total noob.

I hope you are successful and would love to know the detail on cure.
