Thoughts?

I was disappointed. To many holes and unanswered questions, plot was weak and did not tie in together well. Special effects were good though...

Can somebody explain the beginning sequence please? And why would you wake up after 2,000 years and want to still destroy Earth?
 
To create life you must destroy it
Remember? What didnt you get? It was a prequell to Alien

I had heard someone at work mention that it had something to do with Alien but I wasn't aware of that previously.I might check it out but I am a little behind in my movie watching.

I guess the engineers wanted to create life based off their own DNA, as for why they wanted to kill us after 2K years... just wait for the sequel I guess.

That's exactly what I thought....
Even the head shape of that thing at the end........

Overall not a bad movie. Lots of eye candy SFX.

I hate movie theaters so I haven't seen it but I read at least a dozen Facebook posts from my friends saying it was horrible and not a single good one.
 
I think it was more of a "smart people" movie/fan boy movie. To really of understood it you had to watch alien my dad said it made perfect sence to him since Alien is his fav sci fyi movie heck the only reason I understood it cause at the end he had to explain it to me.

For real? Even your dad would admit there's holes in the story. David's entire role is all over the place. How does he just know the last surviving engineer is driving that ship to earth? He just magically knows?
