i dont know of many people saying "plee-co"... im thinking (pleck-oh)
Oh...

I'd rather hear plee-co than pleck-o... That's just a horrid combination of sounds... lol... I think I have a disease. :D

It doesn't sound as bad if you follow through with the rest of the word.

pleckoss-tomuss doesn't sound half bad. But pleck-o... ehhhh.

Good thing what I think has no bearing on how things are actually pronounced huh? :grinno:

I pronounce it playco. Plee-co just doesn't set right.

As long as it has an 'o' at the end, I don't really care. :D

I pronounce bichir "biker". lol

and Orino would be "Oar-in-o" to me.

Crazy world.

edit: packer, your sig is pure evil. It physically hurts me to read it.

Well, I guess I could change it sometime..........maybe.........give me time to think of something else to annoy you.:ROFL:P.S. I might actually change it, you have endured enough of the PLEC!!!!!!

wats the correct pronunciation for bichir??? i just say polys usually :)
theres lots of different ways. i just say "biker". all the other ways seem weird to me

Even if you get it wrong(to me saying biker is just weird) most people who keep fish at least will understand what your saying so in the end it's all good.

dovii - dough-vee
bichir - birch-er
pleco - pleh-co...where do people come up with plee-co? Play-co at least makes sense.

some people are morons and don't realize that manganese is a metal, not a fish.
i read mormons instead of morons at first.

When i asked a guy at my lfs about bichirs i said it "bir-chir" and he said biker. Made quite an awkward moment...
ya i say bur-chur as well
another one is dovii i say dough-vee
and endlicheri, i say end-lee-cherry

I've seen people correct other people who pronounce dovii "dough-vee"... They said it is supposed to be "doughy-eye", like the 'V' is pronounced 'W'... The double "i" in latin is pronounced "ee-eye."

Also, I pronounce endlicheri the same way... "endly-cherry", but it, apparently is supposed to be pronounced "end-lick-err-ee."

^ I think it's kind of funny end lick er... God i'm immature sometimes. :D
