Propagating Soft Coral Help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea...I was the person that made xenia a weed in central WI. The first frags given to a local LFS (this was before petco) sold for $30 in store.

Then it evolved to the $5 a handful. :D

I would say to use it as a nutrient exporter, but if it died off, god help your tank...lol

Yea...agreed. Only had a die-off once, and that was because my tank was left in the hands of someone who pretended to be competent and interested (I was hoping that the experience of watching over my tank for a week would encourage him to get into the hobby more, I was wrong.) actually wasnt.

Other than that the stuff was fairly stable, but I ripped it out once a month with all the overgrown macros. This was probably four years ago...same time as my avatar was taken. It was basically a softie/macro garden ruled by a gorgeous tomato clown named snoop dog. Who, as you can see, hosted a tubeworm. :D

I still want a tomato because of that fish. I have a midas blenny named pokey. He sticks his head and ass into anything that looks remotely like a crevice.

That midas has nice dark eyes, and a dark orange body. Very nice E. Best picture I guess I have seen of him so far.

My tomatos are little terrors. My damsels used to be king of the hill, but then I broke down my 34 and put my tomatos in the 75, and they very quickly changed.

But I still love them.

Right? Imagine that with a giant tesselata eel. Great.

Along with:

Chuck - Harlequin Tusk named after charles woodson because he is always stealing food from the mouths of other fish.

Josio - Panther grouper...named because he swims funny...like a kid we played football with named the same thing.

Mufasa - Niger trigger. Named because it sounds awesome.

Nike - Rectangulus trigger. Kinda has the swoop on the side of him.

Bucky - Lionfish. Just got named bucky one day. Turns out the badgers do good this year, coincidence? I think not. :D
