not at all man they all thrive, the oldest one i have is 7 years old and ive had him for 7 years.

and yea fish where fine the house they live at was far from the fire.

id say 6.6-7.2, just keep it stable.

Just work with what Ph you have and keep the tanks stable. My Ph is high also 8.0 to 8.2. My Aro and gars and everthing I have kept from loaches to monsters all thrive in this water.
