Im gonna be putting 2 green terrors in the tank and i want the water flow to be light. So I was thinking if i get a pump rated at 500gph after head pressure it would be around 300 gph. Does that sound right??

I called my lfs and they have both the mag 5 and the quiet one pump but they dont give prices over the phone so im just gonna get the cheapest one.

These people are nuts at the lfs, for the bulkhead they want 14 dollars and for the mag 5 they want....150$$$$ ...WOW!!!.

Order from Dr fosters and smith. I got my pumps from them and I was impressed.

You should be able to get that pump for less than $50

Can I get bulkheads at a local hardware store cuz 14 dollars for 1 bulkhead is ridiculous and then they want 150 for the pump i was in shock. Then the store clerk tells me I wont find it cheaper anywhere else:ROFL:   . i walked out right after he said that without either bulkhead or pump.

ok these store clerks are getting on my nerves. I had to walk out of another lfs because the guy tell me I need to get a pump rated at 900gph, i got a 55 gallon and I explained that its a freshwater tank setup. when i asked him to show me one rated at 500gph I guess he felt like i was insulting his intelligence. so as he ran off to get the pump I ran off to get my car......vrooooooooooooooooooooommmm:D

Any new yorkers here know where i can get the mag 5 or quiet pump for less than 150. I already found the exact bulkhead i needed cheaper too 8 dollars now i just need the pump.
